There are millions of women and couples who are in search of a child and for different circumstances have not achieved it, in Mexico up to 16% of couples of reproductive age suffer from infertility problems and do not know it.
Regularly, infertility is diagnosed when a pregnancy is not achieved after trying for 1 year or more (depending on the age of the woman, as this is a determining factor) or when there is recurrent gestational loss.
These cases are not only a women’s problem or something related to age. There are many factors that can lead to infertility, and it can affect people of any age and sex. When a couple is having a hard time getting pregnant, either (or both) are equally likely to be the cause.

Low complexity treatments
Scheduled Coitus
Timed intercourse is a simple technique where sexual intercourse is scheduled at the most fertile time of the menstrual cycle, synchronizing ovulation with sexual intercourse.
The success rate is about 10% per cycle. It is advisable to try this technique for 3-4 months as most successful pregnancies are achieved in the first few months.
Artificial Insemination
Artificial insemination is an assisted reproduction procedure that consists of placing semen previously prepared in a laboratory inside the woman’s uterus by means of a specialized cannula. In this way, it is possible to increase the chances of the egg being fertilized by the sperm in a natural way.
The sperm used can come from either the male partner or a donor.
The chances of success vary depending on the number of cycles the woman undergoes, but also on the origin of the sperm. In a single cycle, the pregnancy rate for women under 35 years of age is between 13 and 25 percent if the sperm comes from the partner; in the case of a donor, this figure rises to between 18 and 29 percent success.
As the number of cycles increases, these probabilities increase significantly: after 4 insemination cycles.
High complexity treatments
In Vitro Fertilization
In vitro fertilization (also known as IVF) is an assisted reproduction technique that requires experience and technology, such as the one offered by Inovavita.
It consists of the union of the egg with the sperm in a laboratory in order to obtain embryos and subsequently a pregnancy.
The success rate of this procedure, which has become more and more common, reaches 40% to 60% in each cycle.
As the number of cycles increases, these probabilities increase significantly: after 4 IVF cycles and can reach up to 96% success rate.
Fertility Preservation
A woman’s fertility is limited and after the age of 35 it decreases very markedly, both in number and in the quality of the oocytes. It is a biological process that, at present, we cannot act upon.
However, the reality is that nowadays women are increasingly delaying motherhood for personal, social or work-related reasons, which is why preservation represents an opportunity for the future.
If a woman decides to preserve or freeze her eggs when they are “young”, at the moment she decides she wants to have a baby, she will be able to use these eggs and thus have the same chances of pregnancy as she would have had at the time of preservation.
In the case of men, the seminal quality also decreases according to certain habits, that is why this option is also recommended for them.
